Priorities

What I'm working on

I'm focused on results. These are the three areas I'll keep pushing on for the students and families of Area 4.

  • Stronger readers

    Reading is the foundation for everything else a student learns. I'll keep pushing to improve reading achievement across our schools, and I'll use data to see whether it's working.

  • In school, every day

    Students can't learn if they aren't in class. Reducing chronic absenteeism means working with families to understand what keeps kids home, and fixing it.

  • Safe and supported

    Every student should feel safe at school. That means supporting student mental health, strengthening school safety, and addressing bullying and violence head on.

Through all of it, I'll listen to our families and educators, support our teachers, stay fiscally responsible, and hold our district accountable.

About Olinga

Tracy is home

I've lived in Tracy for 38 years. I've watched our community grow, and I've experienced our schools from every side: as a parent whose children attended Tracy schools, as a grandparent with two grandchildren in the district today, and as a trustee.

I've served on the Tracy Unified School Board and I understand both the responsibilities and the challenges that come with this seat. I'm running to continue the work and help move Tracy Unified forward.
